Wood Quay Heart Earrings with Green Glass Stones
History: One Thousand years Ago the Vikings raided and plundered Irish Monastries and Churches for their gold and silver.
The Vikings were driven out of Ireland one thousand years ago by Brian Boru but much of their heritage remained. Many of their artifacts have been uncovered during excavations at Wood Quay in Dublin. These magnificent pieces of jewellery have inspired us to create the Wood Quay Collection.
Oxidised Sterling Silver Finish with Gree Glass Stones
Warrior Shield Origins: In 1868, two men digging in a ring fort in Ardagh, Co. Limerick discovered Ireland's foremost treasure, the Ardagh Chalice. The chalice is the finest example of eight century metalwork ever to be discovered.
The Celtic Warrior design originated from the Ardagh Chalice. The gold filigree band on the chalice, with it's shield decorations, inspired the creation of the Celtic Warrior Jewelry Collection.
